BLACKSHINE Announce New Drummer
November 10, 2005Stockholm, Sweden's BLACKSHINE have parted ways with drummer Stefan "Stipen" Carlsson (HARM'S WAY, ex-MERCILESS, DIA PSALMA/STREBERS, TRANSPORT LEAGUE) and have replaced him with Chris Barkensjö (KAAMOS). The band, who had previously announced that they had signed a new record deal with NMS/Escapi, are "having problems releasing their latest album," "Lifeblood", which has already been recorded and mixed, according to a posting on their web site.
The follow-up to 2002's "Soulless & Proud" (SPV),"Lifeblood" was recorded at 52ND Music Studio with co-producer Tor Adolfsson and is said to be the band's "most interesting and catchy album" to date.
